Assisting Families Since 1989

Without help

It can be challenging for parents to keep things together when looking after children with mental health and/or destabilise.

With Help

That’s why we offer a range of services to support families through challenging times many have found this can help them relieve stress.

Providing & Delivering  semi-independent accommodation and support services to young people from any of the following groups;

  • black and ethnic minority groups
  • unaccompanied minors and asylum seeking communities
  • young  mother and babies
  • young people with offending behaviour and/or on remand
  • young people with challenging behaviour
  • young people with a history of substance misuse
  • young people sexualized behaviour
  • young people with mental health problems

We provide semi-independent support services for young people across many boroughs. Lots of our young people (aged from 16- 19) have a range of profound and multiple learning disabilities, mental health needs, challenging behaviour, autistic spectrum disorder, history of substance misuse, offending behaviour and complex needs across all ethnic groups.

Our semi-independent living is integrated accommodation and support services that aim to prepare and support young people in making a smooth transition from looked after and residential care to independent living, self-reliance and adulthood through the provision of private rental accommodation, case management and support services.

The goals of our services include:

  • to prevent young people transitioning from statutory care to homelessness services;
  • to maximise young people’s capacity to live independently in the community;
  • to improve social, economic and health outcomes for care leavers.

Young people are regularly assessed throughout the transition period and levels of support are responsive to the individual’s changing needs.  Our services provide young people with the option of remaining in the property rather than having to move on.
Permanency planning principles are embedded in each service where independence can be a permanency goal and support identified in the leaving care plan will provide the young person with:

  • long-term accommodation (as opposed to crisis/temporary accommodation); and
  • the skills, competencies and connections they need to be able to eventually live and manage on their own.

It was really fun getting to know the team, They were all helpful in answering my questions and made me feel completely at ease.

I'm wondering why I never contacted these guys sooner! Seriously, they all have commendable talent in their respective fields. and helped my Emma tremendously.

I literally could not be happier that I chose Spencer and Arlington they show superb attention to all my son's needs
